ABAP / BTP: complete custom solutions for your SAP landscape.

COPERNIC delivers complete custom solutions: business applications, SAP extensions, interfaces and workflows. Our technical and functional specialists connect business requirements to design, ABAP / BTP development, acceptance testing and go-live, then support maintenance and future changes.

01 · UNDERSTAND

Make technical reliability work for the business.

An interface that is difficult to recover, a slow batch process or undocumented code eventually disrupts operations. We assess usage, volumes and operating constraints to design solutions that can be understood, tested and maintained.

02 · DESIGN & DELIVER

Expertise grounded in how you work.

01

ABAP and ABAP Cloud development

We design the processing, business rules, services and extensions your solution needs. The choice between classic ABAP and ABAP Cloud depends on your SAP edition, available APIs and project constraints. Code, tests and documentation form part of the agreed deliverables.

02

SAP BTP · Applications and extensions

We develop applications and extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform to support your SAP processes. Architecture, BTP services, integration, access and monitoring are scoped around your licences and landscape, with attention to costs and maintainability.

03

Interfaces and integration

We define exchange contracts, transformation rules and controls. APIs, services and existing mechanisms are assessed with their owners, including monitoring, duplicate handling and recovery.

04

Performance analysis

We start with an observable symptom and a repeatable scenario. Processing, data access, volumes and dependencies are examined to identify a measurable correction and verify its effects.

05

Architecture, operations and maintainability

We document components, responsibilities and deployment constraints. Access, logging, maintenance and transport requirements are built into the technical scope with your IT team.

06

User interfaces and cockpits

User experience requirements are assessed with the business. Where appropriate to your environment, we consider Fiori and related services to connect presentation, data and actions with a maintainable design.

COPERNIC · PEOPLE & EXPERTISE

Experienced technical specialists working closely with the business.

Our approach depends on the conversation between technical specialists and functional consultants. One makes the constraints and options clear; the other checks the result against the business process. Together, they help ensure a local fix does not simply move the problem elsewhere.

03 · WORK TOGETHER

A clear approach, from scoping to handover.

  1. 01

    Establish the facts

We collect technical evidence and understand the operational impact. Hypotheses are tested within an agreed scope and against observable acceptance criteria.

  2. 02

    Make trade-offs explicit

We compare standard capabilities, available interfaces and extension options. Decisions account for security, performance, operating cost and future upgrades.

  3. 03

    Develop and integrate the solution

We build ABAP / BTP components, screens and interfaces within an agreed scope. Demonstrations and progressive testing let business teams validate rules, user journeys and data exchanges before full acceptance testing.

  4. 04

    Validate, deploy and hand over

Testing covers expected behaviour, failures and relevant load conditions. Documentation and knowledge transfer prepare the responsible teams to maintain the solution.

04 · MAKE IT CONCRETE

Deliverables your teams can use.

We agree the scope and acceptance criteria at the start of the engagement, based on your landscape and priorities.

  • A diagnosis supported by evidence and repeatable scenarios.
  • Documented technical decisions and constraints.
  • A complete, integrated solution tested against agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Practical documentation for operations and future change.
USEFUL ANSWERS

Your questions.

Does existing custom code need to be replaced?

Not automatically. We assess its business purpose, dependencies and maintenance effort. Some developments can remain or be adapted; others may be replaced by standard functionality. The decision depends on the programme and target environment.

What does a clean core approach mean?

It aims to control extensions and dependencies on the SAP core to make future change easier. Depending on the environment, this includes suitable extension points and APIs. It still requires testing and an assessment of release-specific constraints.

How do you verify a performance improvement?

We agree a scenario, data volumes and a baseline, then compare results after the change under controlled conditions. The objective and the limits of the measurement are agreed with your team.
